Beyondsoft Achieves Security Milestone ISO 27001 (August, 2007)
BEIJING, China, August 8, 2007 /Beyondsoft Corporation ("Beyondsoft"), one of Asia's most experienced outsourcing service providers, has achieved the ISO 27001 management system certification. Awarded by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), ISO 27001 certifies that Beyondsoft conforms to the International Organization for Standardization's information security standards.
ISO 27001 (full name ISO/IEC 27001:2005 – Information technology; Security techniques; Information security management systems; Requirements) is the upgraded version of BS7799, which Beyondsoft implemented in 2003. ISO 27001 is "harmonized" with other management standards like ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. It is currently the only international information security standard, and is applied in more than 5,000 major corporations and organizations worldwide.
