Meet Gabriella Torres

We are back again with our Employee Spotlight. Each month, we choose a Beyondsoft employee and ask them questions about their role in the company, as well as a few “just for fun” questions so our readers get the chance to learn more about the awesome people who make up our team. This month, we are featuring one of our recruiting rockstars, Gabriella Torres!

Marketing: Hi Gabriella. Thanks for taking the time to chat with us. Let’s start out by telling our readers a bit about you. What is your background?

Gabriella: Hi everyone, I’m ready to get this interview started! I’ve been working in the HR/Recruiting field since 2014. I have enjoyed working in a variety of industries ranging from hospitality to healthcare, and new technology. I’m currently pursuing my Bachelor’s in Integrative Studies from the University of North Texas, and will hopefully be graduating Spring 2021.

Marketing: That’s great we wish you all the luck in that! How long have you been with Beyondsoft? Tell us more about your role with BCI?

Gabriella: I have been with Beyondsoft since late August 2019 and I have been enjoying every minute of it. I’m the Recruiting Coordinator for the NABG team, so I assist my team with a vast variety of tasks! The goal of my role is making sure we’re providing a great candidate experience during the entire recruiting process, from scheduling interviews to sending out offer letters.

Marketing: Our recruiting team does an amazing job, and we are glad to have you as a part of the team. Okay… so what inspires you?

Gabriella: Helping others and being of service to those on my team or those close to me is a big motivator for me. I find myself happiest when I am helping the team and I am a part of the success and accomplish all of their goals. No matter where I am or what I am doing if I see someone that is needing some assistance I will be the first one to run over and offer help.

Marketing: What accomplishment are you most proud of?

Gabriella: Can I list two things? The first being, I recently was awarded the Rookie All-Star award, which completely caught me off guard, but I was happy that I was recognized to be an important part of the recruiting team! The second, I feel like now that the end is in sight in terms of my education, I’m pretty excited to finally cross the stage and graduate. It took a lot longer than I would have liked but I’m almost there!

Marketing: That’s awesome! And yes, it’s so rewarding to see the end in sight regarding graduation. It’s always good when the hard work pays off. Okay – so enough about work. What is your biggest pet peeve?

Gabriella: Well, I don’t think I have any, but if I had to pick something I think a big pet peeve would be when others spell my name wrong when the correct spelling of my name is in my email signature.

Marketing: Totally agree! (PSA to readers everywhere – it’s as simple as checking the email signature!) Okay, so the 90s are coming back in a big way with fashion lately. Do you have a favorite 90s jam?

Gabriella: Oh man, I have far too many favorite songs to narrow just one down. However, I will say that I love anything 90s R&B/Hip Hop. No matter where I am if a familiar 90s song in either of those genres comes on you can catch me doing a little dance and singing along.

Marketing: ‘90s will always have a special place in my heart as well. Speaking of past decades in time… if you could time travel, when in time would you go?

Gabriella: I would say the future. I’m a very curious person who loves to learn new things, and I am fascinated and intrigued by how much technology is advancing. I can only imagine what our day to day lives will look like with the addition of new products and software, discoveries, cures, planets, anything! I’m excited to see what the future holds.

Marketing: So not back to a Biggie concert? Okay, fair enough… Well, there is just one last question for you. What is one thing you cannot resist?

Gabriella: I have noticed that I am now an avid coffee drinker. I cannot resist the offer of a Starbucks or Café run, and it doesn’t matter what time of day, I will always say yes to a cup of energy. Passionately.
