Medical Equipment Provider Partners with Beyondsoft to Map Out a 24/7 Security Operations Center

THE CHALLENGE 

A reputable medical equipment provider – formed through multiple mergers and acquisitions over time – faced significant security challenges. The lack of centralized enterprise security operations meant their systems were vulnerable to security incidents, data breaches, and disruptions, leading to a heightened risk of legal liabilities, reputational damage, and financial losses.  

With a lean IT team and limited security expertise spread across geographically diverse locations, the client needed help maintaining comprehensive visibility of security issues across multiple systems. 

THE SOLUTION

Transitioning from multiple companies to a single large enterprise company, the medical equipment provider turned to us to build a foundational platform for their enterprise-grade security operations. We worked with our client’s stakeholders to review their current tech stack and identify security tools that needed to be replaced or upgraded. We built a HIPAA HITECH-compliant security operations program to safeguard their protected electronic healthcare information, which spans 500 Active Directory accounts across five physical locations on the East and West Coasts of the U.S. The program prevents unauthorized access and theft of sensitive data and minimizes the disruption of critical services. 

We collaborated with an industry-leading Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Platform to deliver a Security Operations Center to handle increasingly sophisticated cyber threats and evolving medical device regulations and standards (Section 508, HIPAA). This automated solution continuously monitors, assesses and mitigates threats, detects and responds to incidents, prevents data breaches, and enables our clients to take preventive actions on a much greater scale.
