Beyond Tools: The Real Work of Tech Delivery

Author: Shundrian Green

The biggest AI opportunity is going from small personal time-savers to end-to-end intelligent delivery for our clients’ operations workflows.

Shaileshkumar Parmar, Account Delivery Manager, Beyondsoft

I sat down with Shaileshkumar Parmar, Account Delivery Manager at Beyondsoft, to discuss what it takes to deliver technology services at scale for a global client. Our conversation focused on how technology leaders are preparing for the future, the growing impact of AI, and the importance of staying focused on business outcomes as the pace of change continues to accelerate.

Shundrian: Before we jump in, tell us about your role. What does a typical day look like for you?

Shaileshkumar: I work as an Account Delivery Manager at Beyondsoft and act as a bridge between our teams, our clients, and their stakeholders for a global technology company. My job is to make sure we’re solving the right business problems using the tech stack our clients prefer. Our clients use Microsoft tech stack so we’re very familiar with the tools and capabilities.

Our team members have deep technical expertise around software engineering, cloud, databases, data engineering, business intelligence, AI, software testing, and hardware validation.

We also support their broader AI ecosystem, including Azure AI, Azure OpenAI capabilities, Microsoft 365 Copilot, GitHub Copilot, Copilot Studio, AI agents, AI-enabled applications, and AI-assisted engineering and operations.

We don’t show up with a predetermined solution. We figure out the problem with our clients and define the solution together. That’s the difference, and it’s the real competitive advantage when we bring in our business process management expertise.

Shundrian: You support such a broad technology portfolio. How do you manage delivery across so many areas?

Shaileshkumar: It’s a lot to juggle and it comes down to a consistent approach: clarity, good conversations, caring about the team members, and making sure our clients, and their stakeholders see value in our work.

My goal is to create an integrated delivery team where engineering, cloud, data, AI, testing, and operations work together to meet our clients’ business goals.

Shundrian: Can you share an example of how your team used AI to solve your clients’ challenges.

Shaileshkumar: Absolutely! One of the projects we did for our client was Knowledge Intelligence.

The challenge was to simplify the process of finding accurate information. Our client and their team members had to dig through multiple repositories, including SharePoint sites, support documentation, process guides, websites, PDFs, and internal knowledge bases, to answer a single question. Even when the correct guidance existed, they needed to know where to look, what to search, and whether the guidance was still applicable.

That’s where AI becomes useful.

Our team understood the problem and used AI to solve a repetitive and tedious problem.

We connected information from different data sources, fact-checked with subject matter experts, and made sure employees have an easier way to access accurate information in a chat interface.

That’s the kind of technology delivery I enjoy doing. We worked on a complex business problem and then paired it with right technology and experts to solve what matters to our client.

Shundrian: That’s a great story. I’m curious, how has AI-assisted engineering changed software development?

Shaileshkumar: AI is changing the software development lifecycle.

GitHub Copilot is great for handling repetitive stuff like explanations, documentation, and other development activities so our developers spend more time on tasks that require judgement. They include code review, problem-solving, testing, security, and building sustainable architecture that holds up over time. The final solution needs to meet our clients’ compliance engineering standards.

AI is an enabler and a digital co-worker, it is not replacing humans oversight.

Shundrian: I want to switch gears to talk about data governance and security. What role does data, governance, and security play in helping companies realize real business value from their AI investments?

Shaileshkumar: I’m going to assume these companies have completed their AI assessment and know their gaps and opportunities. I believe employee readiness, business goals, data governance, and security are AI foundations.

Businesses have enormous amounts of information distributed across applications, databases, business systems, and operational environments. Data without context is noise. The core challenges and opportunities lies in connecting data with context, making them secure and useful for both employees and customers.

Our team members support that complete journey from database management to data engineering using Fabric, OneLake, Power BI, and Intelligent Agents.

Shundrian: What excites you most about the future of technology delivery, and where do you see the greatest opportunities for companies as AI continues to mature?

Shaileshkumar: The biggest AI opportunity that excites me is moving from small personal time-savers to end-to-end intelligent delivery for our clients’ operations workflows.

AI works best when it is connected, not isolated. Here’s what I am mean in practice.

Engineers develop faster with AI assistance. Data flows reliably through databases, Fabric, and OneLake. Power BI makes that data visible and easy to understand. AI agents connect users to information and processes across the whole lifecycle from planning to development, testing to deployment, operations to analytics, and making it easy for our clients to make better business decisions. That is the real long-term value.

Shundrian: As technology continues to evolve, what role do we play in helping clients navigate that change?

Shaileshkumar: I want our clients to know that we are invested in their success even when priorities change.

Technology will continue to evolve. New AI capabilities will emerge, cloud platforms will expand, engineering practices will change, and data will become even more important.

What remains important is having a trusted delivery partner that understands the technology, develops strong teams, manages risks, communicates transparently, and adapts as the clients’ priorities change.

My conversation with Shaileshkumar reinforced that technology transformation is never just about the technology. While AI continues to reshape the way organizations work, success still depends on having the right strategy, strong foundations, and people who can connect innovation to real business needs.

As the pace of change accelerates, companies have an opportunity to rethink how they deliver value, embrace new ways of working, and prepare for what’s next. Technology may evolve, but the focus on solving problems and creating meaningful outcomes remains the same.

Thank you, Shaileshkumar, for taking the time to share your perspective. I enjoyed learning more about your experiences and I appreciate the insights you brought to this conversation of Real Talk!
