One of our media clients in the North American markets are regulated by some of the most stringent privacy laws – such as the CCPA, AICPA, and GDPR, to name a few. Moreover, the business owns some of the busiest, most responsive digital publishing’s that strive to bring fresh stories first to their readers. Driven by the motive to not only comply with key regulations in their areas of operations, and to build trust with their 70m+ consumers, the client choose Beyondsoft to help operationalise their digital privacy and trust strategy.
Solution
We began by running thorough audits across the 15 websites owned by our client, conducting technical assessments, and identifying leakage points across a360media’s digital presence. Knowing the costs of building a security and trust platform for a hyperscale media business such as media companies, our team leads shortlisted two of the leading privacy platforms – OneTrust, and another one – which offer rapid compliance adherence and privacy and trust governance capabilities. Aiming to achieve lowest possible TCO while bringing cutting-edge digital trust capabilities to the table, we brought our clients complete digital presence into the purview of a single OneTrust instance with ready-to-use dashboards – within a span of ~2 months.
Project outcome metrics
A key benefit that Beyondsoft along with OneTrust offered the media company's Javascript-rich websites, is preventing unconsented execution of Javascript codes until the user provides explicit consent
Because scripts running on the frontend can be used to inject malicious code to an otherwise secure and compliant website or application, We made it possible for the media company to deliver personalised and updated content to users after building trust and gathering their consent
In addition to helping our client demonstrate CCPA and GDPR compliance within two months, we are also helping the media company achieve SOC compliance
